Monsters,
Inc. Gets Boost From Financial Analysts
(by digitalmediafx.com) A special showing of Monsters,
Inc. to several financial analysts has resulted in high praise
from analysts who see Monsters, Inc. as a big winner this
season. Prudential even went as far to give box office predictions
saying that Monsters, Inc. should easily end up with a
final gross somewhere between A Bug's Life ($163 million
domestically) and Toy Story 2 ($246 million domestically).
The news follows
an exclusive
story by Digital Media FX last May that Monsters,
Inc. was scoring higher marks than all past Pixar movies during
test screenings.

Disney's
Pinocchio Coming to Broadway
(by digitalmediafx.com) Disney's broadway experience with
Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King is now resulting
in a new addition - Pinocchio. Disney plans on turning
its version of Pinocchio from an animated movie into a live Broadway
stage production. According to the London Daily Telegraph several
of the experts behind Disney's highly successful The Lion King
Broadway show have been retained to work on the Pinocchio
production.

According to the National Post:
"Cinar
Corp. is still struggling to forge consensus amongst its directors
for a proposed sale of the company's animation and production
division to U.K.-based Gullane Entertainment PLC.
In its required
semi-monthly public statement to shareholders yesterday, the Montreal-based
company said it is continuing its protracted search for a buyer..."
