Animation
and FX Art Charity Event
(by digitalmediafx.com) On September 23 and 24, 2001, from 10:00
a.m. - 4:00 p.m., St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Chanhassen will
be hosting The Hearts of Hope Foundation's Animation Art Charity
Event to help abandoned and orphaned children in Romania.
At this event,
which is free to the public, attendees will be able to purchase
limited edition signed lithographs of the dinosaurs from the movie
Jurassic Park III, and original animation art used to make movies
such as Return to Oz, Pinocchio and The Real Ghostbusters, Flash
Gordon, Alvin and the Chipmunks and many more. Prices will range
from $50 for animation cells, to $80.00 for a set of nine lithographs
of dinosaurs, representing more than a 40% discount from art gallery
prices where these items sell for $100 - $400 each.
The proceeds
from this event will help provide shelter, food and medical attention
for children who stand a 1 in 2 chance of surviving to their 13th
birthday.
"We are
pleased to offer this original animation art to help raise funds
for the abandoned children of Romania. The art was produced by
talented animators in Hollywood and is all one-of-a-kind. They
should bring a smile to every child," says Herman Rush, the
ex-CEO of Columbia Pictures, who helped make this event possible.
St. Hubert's
Catholic Church is located at 8201 Main Street in Chanhassen.

of the Day - Hollywood Turns to Soul Searching
According to Japan Today:
"There
were no explosions in Hollywood on Thursday and there may not
be for a while.
From movie studio executives to producers, agents and publicists,
the town's players switched into soul-searching as the flow of
dealmaking and script-hustling came to a virtual standstill following
Tuesday's terror attacks..."
